Lets Talk Fees
Myplash Teen Prepaid Mastercard
We started MYPLASH because we wanted to provide teens and young adults a sensible (yet fun) way to manage their money. That’s why we go out of our way to protect and educate you, our cardholder, on all fronts. Unlike many other prepaid cards out there, we don’t charge silly fees like “Per Transaction Fees”, “Overdraft Fees”, “ATM Decline Fees”, or “Purchase Decline Fees”. We wouldn’t treat family like that would we? No. And since you’re part of the MYPLASH family we’re here to make sure you don’t get charged those types of fees either.

AVOIDING RELOAD & ATM FEES
(yes, some have called us crazy):

OK, let’s re-cap.

Your monthly fee of $4.95 is there to make sure your card account runs smoothly 24/7/365, your balance is protected if your card is lost or stolen, and to connect you to all of the great deals in the MYPLASH MALL. Though we’ve tried to figure out a way to get rid of that particular fee, the folks with the sharp pencils drew the line and just said we couldn’t. Overall though, we think it’s a small price to pay for all of the great things you get with your MYPLASH card.

We did, however, manage to find some ways around the Reload and ATM fees...

Reload your MYPLASH card for FREE by printing the online direct deposit form, login to your account. To do this, click on add fund and print out the direct deposit slip or use the form which will be included with your new card. USDL (United States Dept of Labor) laws and restrictions apply. Please consult your employer for further information.

We also found a great way to avoid ATM fees. Just skip a visit to the ATM and go to a local convenience store or supermarket. Purchase something small that you would get anyway (how about that pack of gum?) and ask the clerk to give you cash back after your purchase. And, hey, if you must go to the ATM we recommend withdrawing a slightly larger amount of cash that will last you a bit longer, as opposed to going several times and incurring additional fees.

As you can see, the only fees you’ll probably ever really end up with are monthly membership, reload and ATM transaction — and, we’ve just told you how to avoid 2 of the 3!

And it bears repeating: no “overdraft” fees, no “over-limit” fees, no “insufficient funds / NSF” fees, no “negative balance” fees, no “per-purchase” fees, no “POS decline” fees. Never, ever!

We hope you’ve enjoyed our little talk. We know your wallet will :)
